Electrical Troubleshooting

Find the actual cause, not the symptom.

The work

What's involved.

We quickly identify and resolve electrical issues, ensuring the safety and functionality of your electrical systems. Breakers that trip for no obvious reason, dead outlets, flickering lights or a burning smell all have a cause — the job is finding it properly rather than replacing parts until the symptom stops.

What it covers
  • Fault tracing with proper test instruments
  • Dead circuits and outlets
  • Breakers that trip repeatedly
  • Flickering or dimming lights
  • Overheating devices, outlets and fixtures
  • Aluminium and mixed-conductor connections
  • Written explanation of what was found

When to call

Signs it is timeto get someone out.

01

A breaker keeps tripping

A breaker doing its job repeatedly is telling you something — an overloaded circuit, a failing appliance, or a fault in the wiring. Resetting it is not a fix.

02

Lights flicker or dim

Often a loose connection somewhere in the circuit. Loose connections generate heat, and heat in an enclosed box is how electrical fires start.

03

You can smell burning

Switch the breaker off first, then call. Do not wait to see whether it happens again.

04

Outlets are warm or discoloured

Warmth or scorching at a device is a sign of a poor connection or an overloaded circuit, and it needs looking at rather than covering with a new faceplate.
