How KT works

Four steps.No guesswork.

  1. 01

    Tell us what is happening

Call or send the form. Describe the problem, or the project. A couple of photos of the panel or the space usually saves a visit.

  2. 02

    Site review or plan review

For service work we come and look. For new construction and tenant improvements we review the drawings with the owner, builder, general contractor, architect or designer.

  3. 03

    Clear scope and estimate

You get the scope in writing — what is included, what is not, and what it costs. Anything that changes mid-job is quoted and agreed before it is done.

  4. 04

    Complete, test and walk through

The work is installed, tested and inspected where a permit applies. Then we walk it with you so you know what was done and where it is.

Case study

Service ChangeResidential

A full service upgrade, start to finish.

The challenge

A panel at capacity with no room to add a circuit, mixed conductor types from previous work and no reliable labelling — then the owner wants an EV charger or a hot tub, and the service cannot carry it.

What KT did

We work out what the service actually needs to carry before quoting anything, then change the service end to end — new load centre, corrected grounding and bonding, every circuit traced and labelled, and headroom deliberately left for what comes next.

Systems installed
  • Load calculation
  • New load centre
  • Meter base
  • Grounding and bonding
  • Circuit identification
  • Whole-home surge device
Outcome

The service carries the property with margin to spare, the panel is documented so the next electrician is not guessing, and the new circuit goes in without a second round of capacity work.

We had a great experience with KT Electrical Contractors! We hired them to troubleshoot an issue at one of our rental properties after a breaker kept tripping on the main floor. They quickly tracked the problem down to several loose outlet connections and had everything repaired in no time. From start to finish, they were responsive, professional, and right on time. They communicated everything clearly, explained what they found, and made sure we understood the repairs before moving forward. It’s obvious they take pride in their work and genuinely care about doing the job right. Their pricing was fair, the quality of work was excellent, and they left everything clean when they were finished. Finding a contractor who is knowledgeable, honest, and dependable isn’t always easy, but KT Electric checks every box. We’ll absolutely be using them again for future electrical work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy electrician in the Greater Spokane area.

Keenan and his team, did a great job with our electrical needs. Quick response time, quick turnaround on quoting and was able to fit us in fairly quickly as well. The team he sent was polite, friendly and thorough throughout the different jobs! Highly recommend.

Service area

Based in Spokane Valley.Working across the region.

We work both sides of the state line, so a project near the border does not need two contractors and does not wait on one to become available.

Just outside these towns? Call (509) 953-1186 and ask — we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.

Spokane, Washington and North Idaho. Our office is in Spokane Valley, and we work both sides of the state line, so a project near the border does not need two contractors.

Mon–Fri, 7:00am – 4:00pm. Saturday & Sunday closed. We keep availability so you can get help when you need it most — call and we will tell you honestly what we can do and when.

Regularly. New construction is a team-oriented process for us, built on close collaboration with contractors, architects and designers so the electrical is integrated into the project rather than bolted on at the end.

Often, but it depends on what your existing service can carry. Service changes are one of our core services precisely because equipment gets added over time. We will look at the panel first and tell you whether it needs upgrading before the new circuit goes in.

All three. Level 1 runs on a standard 120-volt connection and charges slowly. Level 2 uses a 240-volt power source and charges significantly faster — this is what most homeowners want in a garage. Level 3 is the highest voltage and is generally only found in commercial environments.

Tell us. We offer satisfaction guaranteed on every project, and the fastest way to sort something out is to call the office directly rather than wait.
